A 6-Week Self-Care Journey for Mothers

Welcome to the Shifting Motherhood program!

The Shifting Motherhood program offers a warm and supportive space for mothers to cultivate self-awareness, build inner connection, and embrace self-care as an essential part of their wellbeing.

 

Designed with a holistic approach, this program blends mindfulness practices, reflective techniques, and gentle movement with mental health education, empowering you with simple yet powerful tools to regulate emotions, ease stress, and restore balance.

Through yoga, breathwork, meditation, and embodied journaling, you'll explore ways to nourish your mind and body, replenish your energy, and create sustainable self-care rituals that feel natural and accessible. Each session invites you to pause, tune in, and integrate supportive practices into your daily life in a way that feels right for you.

This is for you if you’re a mum of little ones (0 - 4 years old) and you are experiencing:​​

  • Emotional overwhelm or difficulty regulating your emotions

  • Stress, anxiety or symptoms of depression

  • Fatigue, sleep disruptions or burnout

  • Negative self-talk or loss of confidence

  • A shift in identity and sense of self

Having personally navigated birth trauma and postnatal depression, I understand how overwhelming this transition can be. My own experience taught me that self-care is not a luxury—it’s a necessity for feeling grounded and supported.  That’s why Shifting Motherhood is designed to meet you where you are, with gentle, effective practices and compassionate guidance every step of the way.

Guided by Melissa Mendoza, founder of The Shift, a certified yoga teacher, and wellbeing practitioner, this program blends:

  • Mindfulness & Self-Reflection – Slow down, process emotions, and tune into your inner world​

  • Restorative Yoga & Breathwork – Gentle movement and breath practices to ease stress and rebuild vitality

  • Embodied Journaling & Emotional Regulation – Writing exercises to support self-awareness and emotional balance

  • Matrescence & Mental Health Education – Understand the psychological and emotional shifts of motherhood

✔ A deeper understanding of matrescence - the transition into motherhood

Each week, you’ll receive a short, recorded practice to help you integrate these techniques into daily life, nurturing a sense of connection at home.

 

We look forward to welcoming you and your little ones—babies, toddlers, and pre-kinder children (up to 4 years old) are all welcome. Everything you need will be provided, so you can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.
